Our vice chairman will be completing a cycle challenge in aid of Sir Jackie Stewart’s, Race Against Dementia Charity. Walk&Blether is honoured to have the backing from Race Against Dementia on this event. 

 

Triple Formula One World Champion, Sir Jackie Stewart is doing incredible work with RAD to fight this devastating illness. 

 

The route cycled will be around 100 miles, starting at Jim Clark’s memorial statue, in Kilmany Fife Scotland, his birthplace, finishing at the Jim Clark Trust Museum in Duns Berwickshire Scotland, the village he was laid to rest. Both opened by Sir Jackie. 

 

We have used this route not only because of the challenge, but it celebrates the achievements of Sir Jackie Stewart in Motorsport, while remembering his beautiful relationship with fellow World Champion Jim Clark, whom Sir Jackie often reminisces about to this day. 

 

Most importantly this event is intended to raise money for this incredible charity, Sir Jackie founded Race Against Dementia as a reaction to the heartbreaking diagnosis, that was received by his much loved wife Lady Helen.
